“Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life.”

OUR MISSION
There is a shelter imbalance in this valley: some are over sheltered
while others have no shelter at all. Over sheltered means living
lavishly but more importantly points to living within a bubble that
disregards the growing problem of homelessness.
We believe this imbalance is unacceptable and that it is URGEnt that
we all open our eyes to the suffering of those around us.
SCV Urge is devoted to solving the global issue of
homelessness, starting with the Santa Clarita Valley. By raising
awareness to the reality of this dire situation and creating
tangible calls to action, we hope to establish sustainable and
communally driven methods of supporting those in need.
